A girl’s night-out inspiration and my love for anything pickled.
What a beautiful day in Upstate, New York. I am finally able to sit on my front porch, listen to the birds, and write. It’s 68 degrees and sunny, enjoying some chamomile - lavender tea with a cozy blanket on my lap, and watching an ant run across the porch, not ready for those creatures yet, smile.
If you are new to my stories, welcome. I have been fascinated with sourdough starter. Daily the baby is fed (coined the sourdough starter). It’s doing amazing. We have enjoyed different types of sourdough bread (wheat, rye, etc.) cinnamon rolls, croutons (leftover bread), pop-tarts, and my favorite is the flatbread. Stay with me, this will lead to DIY Sauerkraut, I promise, grin.
On my way to a girl’s night-out (wine night as we call it). I decided to delight my besties with warm hot off the griddle homemade sourdough flatbread; served with an olive oil dipping sauce. Yum!
