What is Kefir?
Kefir is a fermented milk that is created by feeding Kefir grains with whole milk, although you could use other types of milk, I am using whole milk to feed this little colony of mine.
I love to create anything from scratch as you may know by following my posts, but I was not able to create these little guys/girls, grin. They needed to be purchased, I purchased from, CulturedFoodLife, I love her teaching on all things cultured.
I read that Kefir grains might be linked to Moses’s time, when we walked the desert for 40-years prior to the promise land (God fed our people) manna, that came from heaven in the morning, needed to be ate that day, or the leftover would parish.
