What’s hanging out in your refrigerator & freezer?

As I begin to think about creating my next dinner creation, I am sitting on my screened-in porch watching the first Loon visit us on the pond. I get so excited to watch him, recognizing him immediately by his trademark bright white collar. Although, it feels as though he keeps averting me on purpose, as I yell to my husband to come and see - only to view out to a calm pond, no Loon, grin. He must be hungry, as he keeps divining in and up, moving swiftly along the pond. We only see him twice a year, once in the spring and sometimes in the fall. I believe he is traveling to his summer home, hopefully somewhere spectacular.

Speaking of being hungry, this week I will have two recipes to share all inspired by what’s hanging out in my refrigerator, you know the vegetables past their prime, but still have some life, those open jars of something good, but need to be used very soon, on and on.
