Our garden to table creations begins with a seed.
Hi, welcome back, we are at week 2–Friday, May 31st. We had our first garden harvest this week, yeah! Read all about it in the “Pickled Garlic Scapes” post below.
This is our weekly garden update, for the rest of the story simply click the image below.
Come walk with me…
Welcome to our new subscribers we are thrilled you are here. My passion for garden to table creations, comes from my passion to grow and nurture plants. I believe it’s an incredible experience to watch a seed grow into something delicious to eat! God’s gift.
May 27: Memorial Day stormed in and almost washed out my garden. I did replant black beans as there were no signs of them making an appearance (germination), grin or frown. I also discovered what I believe to be bunnies snacking on my summer squash, darn. We dropped in a few more seeds. It’s early. It happens.
May 29: garlic scapes appear, I am so thrilled, I quickly cut and made “Pickled Garlic Scapes” posted on May 30th. They are so easy—even you can create! Enjoy!
May 31: potatoes are doing very well, almost the entire row is showing up to the party. I did notice that something ate my eggplant, leaving me with one plant. I was slightly disappointed as I had been growing that baby since March. I will drop a seed in—you never know. It’s nature and things happen.
That’s it for this week in our seeds journey.
Thank you for spending a few minutes with Wendy’s Kitchen, I know how busy life can be.
God bless you with lovingkindness.
Until we meet again, ❤️.

I sure do miss growing potatoes so I’m happy to see someone else having success. Congratulations on your garlic. My attempts to grow it have always been hit or miss (mostly miss). Happy gardening!
Thank you Jeremy!
